October was focused on performance and collaboration. We introduced more ways to share your meeting outcomes and a new high-performance mode for users who need a distraction-free, lightning-fast experience.
🚀 Key Highlights
Shareable Meeting Links: You can now generate and share direct links to meeting summaries and recordings within SoWork. This makes catching up on missed discussions easier for the whole team.
No Graphics 2.0: We introduced a permanent "No Graphics" option in Performance Settings. This allows you to opt-out of the visual game engine entirely for the absolute best performance on any device.
Google Calendar Plugin Update: You can now specify the exact Zone or Office for a meeting directly within your Google Calendar invite (Chrome extension required).
AI for Long Meetings: We improved our AI summarization engine to handle very long meetings without failure, ensuring every minute of your marathon sessions is captured.
🛠️ Product & UX Fixes
Meeting Reliability: Improved video meeting error handling to ensure stable connections for users on variable internet speeds.
Chat Logic: You can now create or rename channels using the names of previously deleted channels. We also fixed a persistent bug where archived channels would leave "ghost" unread badges.
Connection Troubleshooting: We re-enabled the Connection Test Tool (from SoWork v1) to help teams self-diagnose network issues and troubleshoot with our support team.
Navigation: Fixed the "Leave meeting and return to Desk" feature to ensure you are placed correctly back at your workstation after a call.
🎃 Seasonal Treats
Halloween Content: We added a Ghostbusters outfit for avatars and a new plant option to keep the office looking fresh for the spooky season.
PDF Viewing: Fixed a bug that prevented some PDF attachments from opening correctly when attached to in-office objects.
🏗️ Coming Soon
We are in the final stages of the brand-new Desk system, one-click meeting entry from calendar events, and a massive revamp of Meeting Zones.
